Moving out

Poor Karson, he's had to witness his parents' public displays of affection all his life. You'd think he would be used to it right now - I mean, really, they woohooed with him right there at the foot of the bed when he was a toddler... but it seems that even a passionate kiss is enough to make his gag-reflex kick in. (Sorry, I don't have a decent picture of Samantha as an elder yet!)

I guess even teenage heiresses aren't too old for their Daddy to read them to sleep.

Kohl is an ambitious teen, he's found himself a job.

What a great butler... he even fixes broken computers!

It seems that having an after-school job isn't enough for Kohl. He wants to get into private school, also. Here he is calling up the head master himself.

The basement is a fun after-school hangout for all the teens. Here we have Kelsie on the piano, Karson on guitar, Danica (a schoolmate) on bass, Keid banging on the drums, and Kohl and Kailee boogying the night away. Not sure where Kendra was during the mini-party they had down there.

I love this outfit on Kailee...

One of the girls that came home from school with one of the teens broke into the Smustle right there on the sidewalk. Not sure she ever even made it into the house. Weirdo.

Does Kendra have a secret admirer?

Ah... the head master has arrived. Darn thing was glitched, I replayed this day like 4 times and can't get poor Kohl into private school, because the HM just stands there after being greeted. Interactions just fade out. I gave up and tried to fix it in SimPE and it's a dang good thing Kohl isn't my heir, because now he doesn't have an aspiration. O.o

Karson has grown up into a handsome young man. He's chosing not to attend college at this point in his life.

But this house is too crowded. 3 adults and 5 teens is a lot of people for one house. Even with two bathrooms.

Kelsie gets along well with all her siblings.

Even if she does like to give Keid a hard time once in a while.

She really gets a kick out of it, especially when he isn't happy about it.

But she usually makes up for it later.

Joe tries to keep himself fit and healthy.

This picture looks like Kailee is getting ready to tell Daddy something he won't like, but it turned out she was just congratulating him on how many best friends he had. LOL

Karson decides the time has come to look for a place of his own.

So he sits down to the computer and checks out the online rental ads.

The whole family comes to wish him luck as he leaves for his new apartment across town.

At first, Karson doesn't look back on his childhood home.

But he can't help watching it fade into the distance as they drive away.

(Even though Kohl has a memory now of getting into private school, the teens still all go to school in their regular winter-wear. I didn't notice them changing their clothes before putting on their coats, so I don't know if they changed into uniforms or not.)

Maybe now that Karson has moved out, Keid will have a chance to woo some of the girls that come home with the teens after school.

Here we see Karson's new apartment on the other side of town. It's not much - just a bedroom, bathroom, living room and small kitchen.

But the young man wastes no time getting on the phone and calling up his favorite 3LB girl - Madison - and inviting her over.

Dang. She walked into the house and they immediately got naked on the couch. Seriously.

I guess they worked up an appetite.

After Madison left, Karson went downtown and met up with another girlfriend from his high school days, Mia. They made use of the photo booth at one of the local restaurants. Wink, wink.
(Madison and Mia were both aged up when Karson was. Possibly one other girl but I can't remember right now.)

While out on the town, Karson met up with Andrea Hogan. They had met a few times when he was still a teen, and Andrea didn't really want to have much to do with him. But she agreed to come back to see his new place.

Apparently she's changed her mind about what she wanted to have to do with Karson. I'd say his new apartment is well-initiated so far.

Life Goes On

Kendra was building a sandcastle on their beach one morning, before the sun even rose. Before she could get it finished, she was surprised by a big dog with glowing yellow eyes. She wasn't sure at first if he was going to be friendly,

but before long the two were playing and having a good time. He stayed past sunrise, and didn't leave until she had to leave for school.

Joe and Samantha are enjoying their private beach.

The new butler they hired when they moved into their new house is a hard worker. Here he's trimming the flowers outside. He serves all their meals,

makes beds, takes out the trash, and more.

Karson invited Mia over for another date, which seems to have gone well.

Kelsie met a boy at school, Julio Charvat, who seemed to spark her interest.

And then Karson met Mariana. Lightning bolts flew! (His first 3LB match)

Things got pretty serious with her on their date, although neither of them will admit to having more than a crush on each other.

All the kids had to get their homework done,

but Karson got his done in time to have another date with Alyssa.

The inevitable has finally reached us. After drinking an entire vat of Elixir of Life, extending his life longer and longer, Joe has finally reached elder status. (He was soooo much older than Samantha when they finally got married, I had him drink the Elixir until he was only about 3 days older than her.)

Samantha and Kelsie spend some time on the beach together.

Kendra loves the new piano that one of Karson's dates left for him. So much that she wouldn't stop playing and come downstairs for her own birthday!

Kailee transitioned into a beautiful teenage girl.

The next morning, Kendra finally transitioned into a fairly nice-looking teen, as well. She was too tired after playing the piano the night before and refused to age up until she'd had some sleep.

This side by side comparison of the twins' profiles should explain why Kailee was chosen, rather than Kendra.

Here's Kohl, displaying his ONE nice point. (A good part of the reason he was passed over for heir, also.)

Outtakes!

While Kelsie isn't a two-fisted drinker, she doesn't waste any time drinking just one instant meal at a time!

Still Growing Up Schmoe

(Simmers note... holy cow it's taking these kids forever to grow up!!)

The Schmoe kids continue to get along well. Here we see Keid, Kelsie and Kailee having some lunch.

Keid had his birthday right after that, and unfortunately the picture of him was lost.

I wonder if Karson is taking notes from his parents?

Because here he is on a second date with Madison.

He's definitely got a healthy dose of teen hormones!

And yet he's still a really nice boy who loves his brothers and sisters. He comes home from his dates and goes to tuck in his sisters, all by himself.

All six of the Schmoe kids, just hanging out. I think they're talking about the new house they're about to move into.

The Schmoe family moved into a new house with beach access. Samantha appears to be enjoying just relaxing and watching the waves crash on their own private beach.

As well as a little creative outlet in the form of a sandcastle.

The kids are enjoying having a bit more yard to play in.

And a nice big dining room with room for all of them at the table.

Samantha also enjoys the apple tree in the front yard.

Oh look! It's Kelsie's birthday!

First order of business is a makeover. She actually kept her transition outfit, as it was pretty decent already. But the childish pigtails had to go.

Hmm... Karson appears to be on another date, this time with Alyssa. I believe this is lover number 3.

And Elizabeth is number 4??

Apparently, she is!

And now Kohl is having a birthday!

Oh good grief. This boy is in desperate need of new clothes. That will have to wait for the next blog entry, though!

More Growing Up Schmoe

The bonuses Joe and Samantha earned made it possible to rebuild their house. Two stories had been ok, but they wanted a single story. It was just so much easier to take care of all the kids on one story.

Kelsie and Kohl

Finally a close up of Kailee for your viewing pleasure.

Keid enjoyed looking through the telescope. He sometimes wondered if he would ever see his other biological parent out there somewhere.

Karson was as helpful as a teen as he had been as a child. He still played with the little ones, and even helped with feeding and changing when he was needed.

Kelsie and Kohl enjoyed playing catch in the front yard while they waited for Mom to come home from work.

Meanwhile, Karson brought home a friend from school.

He and Mia shared their first kiss.

The attraction was undeniable.

And soon they found themselves in his parent's bed. They shared a lot more than their first kiss in there.
(Thanks for the surprise, ACR!)

The next afternoon, Madison came home with Karson. He was apparently a fairly popular young man.

Either that, or all the girls in his school are just sluts. :snicker:

(This simmer got distracted by the at-home dating of the eldest son and missed the twins' birthday. Here we find Kendra on the left and Kailee on the right.)

As first-born female of this generation, Kailee has been chosen as the G2 heiress! Here are her stats:

I sure hope she rolls a decent aspiration when she becomes a teenager!

Outtakes

Poor Kailee, stuck in the high chair. Literally. She doesn't seem to be very happy about it.

Growing Up Schmoe

Joe and Samantha hadn't lost the passion. They were as in love as ever. Even with the little ones in the room, they couldn't keep their hands off each other.

Toddler Spam! Kohl and Keid, cute as ever.

Keid
(I love this hair for him but after aging to childhood, it's TOO LONG! I want it this length. Phooey.)

Even a toddler in the room can't stop Joe and Samantha from getting their groove thang on.

They finally saved up enough to put siding on the outside of their house! They also bought another truck to replace the one that was stolen.

Samantha teaches Keid a nursery rhyme. She really loves that little guy. You can see that her third pregnancy is progressing nicely, also.

Kohl

Karson continues to do well in school. He's a very happy little boy.

He loves to go fishing, so his Daddy had a pond put in the backyard.

Keid is such a cutie!

Karson is such a good big brother. He's always playing with the little boys.

It's Keid's birthday!

Happy Birthday, Keid!

Samantha seems to have a thing about food when she's pregnant.

And this time around she goes into labor in the bathroom, as so many Sims tend to do.

Keid and Karson are there to witness the birth.

It's a girl!

And another!

Welcome to the Schmoe family, Kailee!

Welcome to the world, Kendra!

Pink hearts float around this house a lot.

What a good daddy Joe is.

Kailee is so cute!

Samantha wants to have more children. She and Joe decide to adopt an older child.

Welcome to the family, Kelsie! (formerly known as Sharla Ottomas, whose family was townified and she was placed in the adoption pool.)

In the excitement of bringing Kelsie into the family, Kohl grew up without a birthday cake.

And so did Karson.

There were a lot of birthdays the day Kelsie joined the family! No sooner had Karson grown up, it was time for the twins to grow up as well. Here's Karson, helping Kailee blow out her candles.

And Samantha helps Kendra out next. You can see Kailee on the floor behind them, but I didn't get a decent picture of her. There may be one in the next chapter.

Toddler Kendra.

Joe and Samantha have both been doing well being in the top of their careers.

Woot! Maybe now they can get their house rebuilt to better suit them.

Once you have babies... time flies!

When last we saw Joe, we wondered if he was putting on a little weight. We can see here that he has definitely been getting thicker around the middle!

The Schmoes were a happy family. Karson loved to listen to his mommy play the bass guitar. Joe loved having a little music while he ate a snack, which he seemed to be doing a lot lately.

All was right in their little world.

It was at this very moment that Joe realized perhaps his weight gain was more than just a bit too many late night snack attacks.

With the realization that their family was about to expand again, the Schmoes put a second story on their little house, which was quickly becoming too small.

What's this? Samantha is expecting again also? Good thing they added that extra footage on the house!

Joe met a friendly stray one evening as he was out looking through his telescope again. He hoped the dog would come back again but so far he hasn't seen the big fella.

Joe is feeling very... maternal... these days.

His bellows of pain frightened Karson, who went running to his mommy.

Welcome to earth, Keid! What a handsome boy you are!

Before they knew it, Karson was celebrating a birthday, and Samantha's pregnancy was progressing nicely.

Hello, big boy!

Samantha loved little Keid, and talked to Joe about adopting the little boy so they could officially be a family.

Time sure flies when you're tending babies right and left. Here comes #3!

Another handsome boy! Welcome to the Schmoe family, Kohl!

Yet another birthday sneaking up on them... Keid is about to be a toddler!

Samantha enjoyed spending time with all three of her boys. Teaching Keid to walk,

Helping Karson with his homework,

and she especially loved when he would come running and give her a hug when she got home from work every afternoon.

Determined to lose her pregnancy weight, Samantha works out whenever she gets a chance.

Apparently her well-toned body has attracted her husband's attention a few times. ;-)

Kohl's birthday, already?

Happy birthday, Kohl!

~*~*~*~*~*~
Joe's shirt didn't fare too well with the pregnancy wear-anything. That would explain his sweats and baggy t-shirts earlier in this chapter.

Burglary, Abduction and Birthdays, oh my!

The very first night of Karson's little life, Joe heard a noise at the front door.

He leaped from his bed, hurrying to the phone to call the police,

but not before the crook headed for his classic truck.

She sent her partner in crime away with the truck, planning to sneak back into the house, unaware that Joe was already on the phone.

The police arrived almost immediately, but unfortunately not before the truck had disappeared.

The officer managed to subdue the crook,

hauling her off to jail.

Joe was pretty steamed about his truck being gone.

The couple was making good money now, and decided to hire a butler to help out around the house while Samantha was on maternity leave. Things were quite busy with a new baby in the house!

Hudson even helped out with Karson now and then, giving the little guy a bath or feeding him while Mom took a much-needed nap.

Joe still liked to use his telescope whenever he had the time, and one night he was shocked when he was suddenly surrounded by a bright light.

Samantha woke up, hearing the noise, and ran to Karson's crib, both of them distraught over the sudden abduction of their husband and father.

A few nerve-wracking hours later, Samantha heard that strange noise again.

She ran outside to see a spaceship hovering above their street, and Joe collapsed on the ground!

There was a bright glowing light emitting from the opening of the ship. Joe was struggling to his feet.

Poor Joe kept rubbing his backside - something dreadful must have happened to him out there!

But it seemed he wasn't all that upset about it, realy.

Although, he did immediately go into the house and make love to his wife. Perhaps to remind himself of how things were supposed to be?

He was as romantic as always.

Before they knew it, Karson was celebrating his birthday.

Samantha helped him with the candles.

Uh oh... Joe ran out of the room all of a sudden. What could possibly make him run out in the middle of Karson's transition like that?

Karson was a smart little guy. It wasn't long at all before Samantha had taught him to walk,

Joe had taught him to talk,

and he was even potty trained.

Say, Joe... are you putting on a little weight, there?

A funny catch in the timing of hitting the pause button.
